On December 2, 2025, the UAE marked its 54th Union Day by organizing a mass wedding for 54 Palestinian couples in Khan Yunis, Gaza. Each couple represented one year of the UAE federation. The event, part of the ongoing UAE humanitarian effort Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, drew over 21,000 attendees including families and aid workers. The brides wore traditional Palestinian dresses called Thawb Al-Farah, a cultural symbol known as “the dress of joy.” The UAE provided financial aid, household items, and starter kits to each couple. Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, launched two years ago, has delivered over 1.6 million aid parcels and critical supplies like ambulances and water project equipment into Gaza. The UAE's Union Day mass wedding is a unique mix of humanitarian relief, emotional support, and cultural restoration amid conflict, aiming to help Gaza’s people find dignity and hope.
