The Centre for Puppetry and Performing Arts in Kozhikode will host a five-day festival called 'Strings of Imagination - A journey through puppetry' from December 5 to 9. The event will include performances, demonstrations, workshops, and interactive sessions on puppetry and its art, says a press release. The festival opens with an exhibition at the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Art Gallery, running all five days. Shadow puppetry artist Padma Shri Ramachandra Pulavar will inaugurate the exhibition at 6 p.m. On another day, a group discussion titled 'Puppeteers’ circle: conversations on puppetry in the digital age' will happen at Town Hall at 2 p.m. This will feature notable theatre and puppetry artists. A special shadow puppetry show, Ramayanam Tholpavakoothu by A. Selvaraja, is scheduled at 7 p.m.
