IndiGo’s flight troubles stretched into a fourth day on Friday, December 5, 2025. The airline cancelled all departures from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport till 3 p.m. On the same day, at least 102 flights were cancelled early morning at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). This follows IndiGo’s communication to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) that it would reduce flights starting December 8 to ease disruptions. The airline cautioned that delays and cancellations will continue for two to three more days. On Thursday, December 4, IndiGo said normal operations are expected only by February 10, 2026. The airline has requested an exemption from new rules limiting night flying hours until that date. The regulator will review this request. IndiGo must provide a detailed plan showing how it will hire and train new crew members and restructure rosters as it adds aircraft. In an evening post on X, IndiGo apologized to passengers and partners affected at main airports. The post read: "The last two days have seen widespread disruption across IndiGo’s network and operations. We extend a heartfelt apology to all our customers and industry stakeholders who have been impacted by these events. IndiGo teams are working diligently and making all efforts with the support of MOCA, DGCA, BCAS, AAI and airport operators to reduce the cascading impact of these delays and restore normalcy."
