On December 5, officials at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple Devasthanam held a review meeting in Srisailam, Nandyal district. They are preparing for the Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavams set for February 8 to 18, with Maha Shivaratri itself on February 15. Devasthanam Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao told the media that all departments must work closely with district administration and Dharmika Parishad for smooth festival conduct. He expects more pilgrims this year and asked to increase preparations by 20–30%. The focus is on better queue management, continuous drinking water, snacks, sturdy queue lines, and timely repairs of public facilities. Mr. Rao stressed, "special focus would be on streamlining Vedic rituals, vahana sevas, darshan timings and traditional temple services without any lapses." For pedestrian devotees, arrangements at Nagaluti, Pedda Cheruvu, Bheemunikolanu, Kailasa Dwaram, and Sakshi Ganapathi areas are planned with the Forest department. Traffic rules, parking expansion, signboards, and police coordination will help avoid congestion during peak days and key rituals like Brahmotsava Kalyanam and Ratham. Officials were urged to improve amenities at Patalaganga, enhance women's changing rooms, and repair the steps route. Sanitation standards will be maintained under the “Swachh Srisailam” initiative, supporting voluntary groups engaged in annadanam. Floral decorations, cultural shows, and spiritual activities will add to the festive mood, said the Executive Officer.
