UAE Lottery shifts to weekly draws with Dh30m jackpot and Dh5m second prize split among winners
December 5, 2025
The UAE Lottery has changed its Lucky Day format starting December 6. Draws will now happen every Saturday at 8:30 pm UAE time instead of every two weeks. The grand prize is set at Dh30 million. The second prize increases to Dh5 million.
A major new rule is prize splitting. The Dh30 million grand prize and the Dh5 million second prize will be shared equally if more than one winner matches the numbers. Earlier, sharing applied only to the Dh100 million jackpot.
Lower-tier prizes remain the same. These include Dh100,000 for third prize, Dh1,000 for fourth, Dh100 for fifth, and Lucky Chance payouts.
The second prize requires matching six numbers from the 1-31 "Days" section, ignoring the "Months" number. If two winners claim this, they get Dh2.5 million each. If five win, each receives Dh1 million. The odds of winning the Dh5 million prize are 1 in 803,216.
The jackpot needs matching six "Days" numbers plus one "Month" number (1-12). The odds for the Dh30 million top prize are 1 in 8,835,372 and remain unchanged despite the new weekly format.
A ticket costs Dh50. Each ticket has a Lucky Chance ID. This enters a separate raffle where three winners will take Dh100,000 each Saturday. Previously, seven winners walked away with this prize every two weeks.
This update means more chances to win, with a bigger second prize but a lower jackpot compared to before. The splitting rule means jackpot and second prize winners may share their prizes. Players now choose between chasing the big Dh30 million pot or enjoying more frequent, valuable wins in smaller tiers.
As the UAE Lottery moves to a weekly rhythm, it raises the excitement while spreading the rewards more widely.
