Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, will host the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 grand finale on December 8 and 9. This is the second year in a row that VTU is the nodal centre for this major national innovation event. Twenty top-performing student teams from across India will gather at VTU to work nonstop for 36 hours. They will create tech solutions to real-world problems. The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the AICTE have given VTU important problem statements under national themes. These include Blockchain & Cybersecurity, AI-driven pollution control, transportation and logistics, and clean green technology. These topics focus on key issues like environment protection, digital security, sustainable transport, and local innovation. The grand finale will feature ministry evaluators, industry experts, mentors, and student innovators all working together. VTU has made full preparations to offer a rich and impactful experience. The Smart India Hackathon remains one of India’s biggest innovation contests, encouraging young minds to solve national challenges.
