Wickremesinghe brews Sri-Lankan debt restructure talks

After being bankrupt, President Ranil Wickremesinghe touched upon the debt repayment of the country for the first time, with IMF, China, Japan and India. His speech was clear as he said that to tackle the debt burden of Sri Lanka in a systematic way would definitely lessen its obligation. Currently, the nation is under a suspended debt of 51 Billion USD, of which it must repay 28 Billion by 2027. Plans like a rescue package of 2.5 Billion in 4 years to the IMF have already surfaced.
