Mysuru Vaccinates 116 Stray Dogs in City-Wide Anti-Rabies Drive
December 7, 2025
Mysuru recently launched a big Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) drive to protect stray dogs and citizens from rabies. The campaign was led by People For Animals (PFA) Mysuru and Reaching Out To Animals (ROTA). The drive reached 30 spots across the city. A total of 116 community dogs got the anti-rabies vaccine. Additionally, 15 dogs received medical help for skin infections and other health issues on the spot. Areas covered included Tilak Nagar, Mandi Mohalla, Sayyaji Rao Road, and many more. Booster vaccine doses were also given to dogs previously sterilised under the Animal Birth Control programme. This public health effort aims to make Mysuru safer for both humans and animals.
