SCR Runs Six Special Trains; New Tirupati-Sainagar Shirdi Express Launching December 14

The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced six special trains from Cherlapalli to Yelahanka and Shalimar on December 8, 9, and 10 to handle the rising passenger demand. Notable departures include Train No. 017187 Cherlapalli to Yelahanka at 10 p.m. on December 8 and Train No. 07148 Cherlapalli to Shalimar at 9:35 p.m. on December 8. These special services come after recent air travel chaos, helping thousands of travelers.
SCR also shared past efforts on Saturday when special trains ran to Shalimar, Chennai, Mumbai, and more, serving approximately 4,000 passengers. Additional trains operate from Bengaluru and other stations towards Pune, Kolkata, and Nizamuddin, including stops at Kacheguda, Vijayawada, and Dharmavaram.
In other news, SCR announced a new weekly train service: Train No. 17425/17426 from Tirupati to Sainagar Shirdi and back. Starting December 14, this express train will run via Guntur, Secunderabad, Vikarabad, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar stations.
Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate this train service on December 9 at 10 a.m. via video conferencing. The train will depart Tirupati on Tuesdays and Sainagar Shirdi on Fridays.
This new train promises fast, safe, and comfortable travel with modern LHB coaches, including two AC II tier, 10 sleeper class, and four general second-class coaches. It will greatly benefit rail passengers across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra.
SCR aims to ease travel woes with these timely special trains and new routes, ensuring smoother journeys during peak times and chaotic travel periods.
