On December 7, 2025, Sriram Raghunath, secretary of TTD’s Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishat (HDPP), praised the Bhagavad Gita as a victory of good over evil and a guide for society. He spoke at the prize distribution event for students excelling in the Bhagavad Gita Shloka recitation competitions held earlier. The contests were conducted at 59 centers across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chennai, and Bengaluru. A total of nearly 8,500 students took part. “If one recites the verses scientifically at a young age and understands the essence, one can scale great heights in future,” said Raghunath. The competition was judged by scholars Amudala Murali, KTV Raghavan, and Sunita. The event took place at Annamacharya Kalamandiram.
