Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Marks 2 Years with Big Welfare Wins and Future Plans

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy marked two years in office on Sunday since his 2023 Assembly election win. He thanked the four crore people of Telangana for their support and confidence. Mr. Reddy said, "Dreaming big for the nation and working for public welfare require immense courage and a strong resolve, and the people of Telangana had given him both." The CM highlighted his nonstop work to improve Telangana. He focused on helping youth through a massive recruitment drive and supporting farmers burdened by debt, setting a model for the country. Key welfare measures include financial help for girls and women, upliftment for backward communities, a caste census, and community-wise categorisation. This gave recognition to long-standing demands from groups like the Madiga community. Education reforms were noted as vital. The CM launched Young India Integrated Model Schools, a Skill University, and a Sports University. Recently, the popular song "Jaya Jayahe Telangana" received official recognition. Welfare schemes launched include free bus travel for women, subsidised cooking gas at ₹500, free electricity up to 200 units, a ₹500 bonus for fine paddy, Indiramma housing, and one crore girls' financial empowerment. Mr. Reddy unveiled future plans under "Telangana Rising," aiming to boost the state's global position. The upcoming Bharat Future City project will drive Telangana’s next growth phase. He said, "Until yesterday, Telangana had one identity. After the Telangana Global Summit, it will have an entirely new identity." Major scheme spending over two years includes: Free Bus Travel for Women - ₹8,402 crore, Gas Cylinder at ₹500 - ₹700 crore, Free Electricity up to 200 Units - ₹3,438 crore, Rythu Bharosa (Investment Support) - ₹21,426 crore, Farm Loan Waiver up to ₹2 lakh - ₹20,616 crore, Indiramma Housing - ₹3,200 crore, Young India Integrated Schools - ₹15,600 crore, and Rajiv Aarogyasri - ₹3,000 crore.
