Adilabad Records Chilly 8°C; Cold Wave Hits Telangana's Border Villages
December 7, 2025
Adilabad district faced a big drop in temperature, with Arli (T) village in Bheempoor mandal recording a low of 8 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning. This is much colder compared to last year's 19.2 degrees on the same day, says the Telangana State Development Planning Society.
Nearby, Ginnedari village in Tiryani mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district had a low of 9.1 degrees Celsius during the night of December 6-7.
Other villages in the region also saw cold temperatures, including Kuntala in Nirmal district with 10.5°C, Rudrangi in Rajanna Sircilla with 10.9°C, Raghavapeta in Jagtial with 11.1°C, and Nyalkal in Sangareddy.
Villages along the Maharashtra border, especially those near forests in Adilabad and Kumram Bheem Asifabad, continue to suffer from the cold wave.
Foggy weather in Agency areas of Utnoor and nearby mandals has lowered visibility early in the mornings. Officials warn this could increase the risk of road accidents.
