68-Year-Old Woman, Daughter Found Dead After Killing 14-Year-Old Boy in Suddaguntepalya
December 8, 2025
A suspected murder-suicide case shocked Suddaguntepalya on Monday. Madamma, 68, and her daughter Sudha, 38, were found dead at their home in Tavarekere 2nd Cross. Police suspect they killed Sudha’s 14-year-old son, Maunish, before ending their own lives around 9 a.m.
The family had faced serious money troubles. They previously ran a biryani business and a chips unit but suffered big losses. Madamma and Sudha worked as domestic helpers and ran a small milk supply business to survive.
Police say the mother and daughter were heavily in debt. The pressure might have led to this tragic end. Sudha had lived separately from her husband for years and stayed with her mother and son.
The family originally came from Tamil Nadu. They visited a temple in Dharmapuri on Sunday and talked with relatives just hours before the incident. Neighbors alerted police after no one came out for a long time.
Suddaguntepalya police and forensic teams are investigating. They are collecting evidence to find the exact reason behind the tragedy. The bodies have been sent for autopsy, and police await the report.
