Kodagu MP Urges Quick Telecom Fixes and Power Plant Allotment Amid Network Disruptions
December 12, 2025
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Mysuru–Kodagu MP, stressed the urgent need to improve telecommunication in Kodagu district. He met Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi on Friday. The MP asked for fast-tracking the installation of battery sets for mobile towers. He also pushed for speedy approval to allot 15 power plants to the region.
Recalling recent heavy rains in Kodagu, Mr. Wadiyar said many poles collapsed, causing severe communication breakdowns. This led to major inconvenience for the public. He added, "I had earlier written to the Minister pushing for improvements to the district’s telecom infrastructure. Today, I met the Minister once again and requested him to expedite the process."
Mr. Scindia assured that the matter would be reviewed soon and necessary steps taken.
