NLC India Renewables and PTC India Form JV to Develop 2000 MW Green Energy Projects

NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a subsidiary of NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL), has signed a Joint Venture (JV) agreement with PTC India Limited in Neyveli. This new JV will focus on building and running renewable energy projects. These include solar, wind, hydro, battery storage, green ammonia, and other green technologies. The plan is to develop up to 2000 MW of green power capacity in phases. The first phase will target around 500 MW. The JV combines the strengths of both companies in project development, power trading, and creating renewable energy parks. It also aims to provide integrated green energy solutions. Power sales will happen via competitive and regulated methods under the Electricity Act. The customers will be a mix of Discoms, government bodies, and industrial consumers. This partnership marks a big step in expanding India's clean energy future.
