Tirupati is set to host the Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan 2025 from December 26 to 29. This major national science event will bring together experts from scientific, academic, and research institutions across India. Around 900 delegates will take part. The event is organized by the Union Ministry of Education, Vijnana Bharati, Indian Knowledge Systems, APCOST, National Innovation Foundation, and National Sanskrit University, Tirupati. The inaugural ceremony will feature Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat. Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh, NSA Board member G. Satheesh Reddy, and Vijnana Bharati President Sekhar C. Mande will also participate. The valedictory session will have Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and DST Secretary Abhya Karandikar. The event will cover topics such as architecture and civil engineering, language and linguistics, agriculture, animal husbandry, aquaculture, intellectual property rights, strategic issues, materials and metallurgy, biodiversity, ocean sciences, quantum computing, semiconductors, AI, and machine learning. NSU Vice-Chancellor G.S.R. Krishnamurthi and SRM University Executive Director (Research) D. Narayana Rao said the meet aims to link ancient scientific wisdom with modern knowledge. APCOST Member Secretary Sarat Kumar K., Bharatiya Vijnana Mandali President Ramesh Srikonda, A.P. Handicrafts Development Corporation Chairman Pasupuleti Hariprasad, and Tirupati Urban Development Authority Chairman C. Divakar Reddy assured that all arrangements are ready. A science and technology expo will also be held. It will showcase institutions, handicrafts, and innovations to highlight India's scientific heritage, current advancements, and future goals.
