AIIMS Bibinagar Nears Completion at 85.97% Under PM’s PRAGATI Program
January 7, 2026
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bibinagar in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri has achieved about 85.97% physical progress as of 1 December 2025. It is set to be completed by 30 June 2026. The Centre’s flagship digital platform PRAGATI is credited for fast-tracking the project through direct, real-time review by the Prime Minister in partnership with States and Union ministries.
A senior Health Ministry official said, "AIIMS — Bibinagar, Guwahati and Jammu — have benefited from high-level monitoring, inter-agency coordination, and outcome-driven governance under PRAGATI." He added, "Physical progress, which stood at around 8.6% in 2022–23, jumped to 29% by September 2023 and further to 57% by the end of 2023–24, reflecting the impact of high-level, time-bound monitoring."
The official also stated that AIIMS Bibinagar is designed as an integrated ecosystem for medical education, research, and employment. The progress highlights the government's focus on improving health infrastructure through coordinated efforts and digital oversight.
