Texas Man's Anti-India Comments Spark Outrage Amid H-1B Visa Controversy
January 23, 2026
A man from Texas who called himself a MAGA patriot stirred controversy by insulting the Hindu god Ganesh, calling him a "demonic elephant." Blake Kresses made these remarks while reacting to a video exposing H-1B visa use in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area by Texas journalist Sara Gonzales. "I worked on political campaigns in this area of DFW in 2022. Every door I knocked on, an Indian answered. They could barely speak any English. They all had demonic elephant idols in their windows," Kresses wrote. He added, "You would not believe the number of nice, suburban homes taken up by migrants."
Indian-origin commentator Anang Mittal responded sharply, calling them "Hateful low-IQ tards out to make a quick buck."
Sara Gonzales’s H-1B exposé video has sparked wide discussion on H-1B visa abuse in Texas. She visited two company addresses listed in official USCIS records as having hired H-1B workers. But at both places, she found no offices. At one, she met a man named in the records at his home address. When she questioned him about hired H-1B employees, he called the police.
The video added fuel to anti-H-1B and anti-India rhetoric, drawing comparisons to a similar controversial video by Nick Shirley in Minnesota. However, experts say Gonzales’s video does not prove any scam. It is legal to list residential addresses if the H-1B employer is a "body shop"—a company hiring visa workers to serve other companies.
Before Gonzales’s video, Texas AG candidate Aaron Reitz promised to stop counties like Collin, Dallas, and Harris from becoming like Indian cities "Calcutta, Delhi, and Hyderabad."
The case highlights rising tensions around H-1B visas and immigrant communities in Texas.
