The Neyveli police seized 21 kgs of ganja and arrested six peddlers, including a woman, on Saturday. Superintendent of Police S. Jeyakumar said police received a tip-off about ganja sales near the Arch gate in Neyveli. A team on patrol spotted two people moving suspiciously and caught them. They are Abilesh Guru, 28, and Alisha, 24, from Odisha. Police found that they smuggled ganja from Odisha to supply local peddlers. Using their information, Neyveli police arrested four more men: Kutti Deva alias Vandiyadevan, 24, and Sudhakar, 27, both from Neyveli; Chandru alias Ajith, 26, from Kurunjipadi; and Jeeva, 25, from Cuddalore. All six were produced in a local court and sent to custody.
