Tirupati Book Festival 2026 Showcases Young Talent Through Cultural and Literary Events
February 5, 2026
The Tirupati Book Festival 2026 by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Tirupati Kendra is hosting cultural shows and competitions. It takes place at Pandit Nehru Municipal Corporation High School grounds, near SVIMS campus. The festival aims to let students display skills in singing, dance, and playing instruments. "Today’s children will have to be nurtured and shaped into young and aspiring artists of tomorrow. If there is no effort to create artistes today, there will no art tomorrow," said Bhavan’s honorary director N. Satyanarayana Raju. Children from primary classes upwards are performing during the nine-day event. Besides concerts, there are literary contests for secondary, high school, and college students. These include poetry writing, quizzes, group discussions, devotional singing, and reciting spiritual verses. The Tirupati Rachaiytala Sangam, or Tirupati Writers Forum, has a stall at the festival and offers literary sessions to readers. "The Book Festival conducted here uninterruptedly for the last eighteen years is not just a festival for book lovers, but also for writers, critics, and poets," said Sahitya Akademi awardee Madhurantakam Narendra. The festival will end on February 8, 2026.
