Dubai Hosts UAE Tour Women 2026 Stage 2 with Rolling Road Closures on Feb 6
February 6, 2026
Dubai will host the second stage of the UAE Tour Women 2026 cycling race on Friday, February 6. The race starts at 12:50 PM from the Dubai Police Academy in Al Sufouh. Cyclists will cover about 145 kilometers through iconic parts of the city and desert, including Dubai Investment Park, Al Qudra Cycle Track, and Dubai Sports City. The race ends at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University around 4:30 PM. To keep cyclists safe, several main roads will close briefly for 10–15 minutes as the race passes. The affected roads include Umm Suqeim Street, Hessa Street, Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, Expo Road, Lehbab Road / Al Qudra Road, Saih Al Salam Street, and Saih Al Dahal Street. These closures will be rolling and reopen once cyclists pass, allowing city traffic to keep moving as smoothly as possible. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has advised motorists to start early, plan their trips, and use alternative routes where they can. The UAE Tour Women is a multi-stage international cycling event that highlights the rise of women’s cycling in the UAE. While Dubai hosts this opening stage, cyclists will continue racing in other cities across the country in the coming days. This yearly event brings top riders and growing attention to cycling across the UAE. On race day, drivers should expect short, rotating delays but enjoy a safe, exciting race through Dubai’s cityscape and desert roads. The RTA reminds everyone to check traffic updates and navigation apps to stay informed during the event.
