The Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam is all set for the big Mahasivaratri festival starting Sunday. Temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao announced that during the 11-day event, special arrangements would help devotees with darshan and stay. All arjitha and paroksha sevas are canceled. Only alankara darshan will be allowed. Those who have done Siva Deeksha and bring Jyothirmudi can get sparsha darshan at fixed times. Sparsha darshan will not be allowed from 7:30 p.m. on February 13 until the night of February 18. To keep darshan smooth, VIP break darshan will happen in three slots: morning, afternoon, and evening. Three separate queues have been set up for devotees' convenience. Free darshan queues start from Radhashala with 25 compartments for waiting. Elderly, physically challenged, and mothers with babies have their own special queue. Devotees doing Siva Deeksha have a separate line from Chandravathi Kalyanamandapam with four compartments. Drinking water is available in all queues. Emergency exits are ready for safety. Special counters for offering Jyothirmudi are on Patalaganga Road. Temples will give out 35 lakh laddu prasadams, one free laddu per devotee. Free shuttle buses run in the temple town. Thirty wheelchairs are placed at the donation counter for those who need them. Drinking water will be supplied via 34 R.O plants and 450 taps around the area. Devotees coming on foot from places like Venkatapuram, Nagaluti, and others will also get water. Parking has been arranged for vehicles throughout the temple town. These steps aim to make the Mahasivaratri festival smooth, safe, and joyful for all visitors.
