On February 7, 2026, Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Scheduled Castes member Raavada Seetharam called on officials to issue cultivation certificates to Scheduled Caste farmers who received D patta lands long ago. He met nearly 75 petitioners in Vizianagaram. Many farmers said they lack valid documents because the lands were granted to their forefathers 30 to 40 years ago. Due to no certificates, they face trouble obtaining crop loans and other benefits. Mr. Seetharam advised Revenue and Panchayat Department officials to promptly handle these issues. Later, he visited Cheepurupalli and Rajam. Locals requested the Commission’s help for faster construction of Ambedkar Bhavans. SC leaders in Cheepurupalli reported that land reserved for Ambedkar Bhavan was occupied by influential locals. The Commission is expected to intervene soon.
