The SIT charge-sheet on the Tirumala laddu controversy confirms there is no animal fat in the ghee used for the prasadam. Yet, YSRCP leader and former Minister V. Srinivasa Rao says Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other NDA leaders keep spreading false stories. Speaking on Sunday at the party office in Tadepalli, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said repeated claims about animal fat, pig fat, and fish oil in the laddu are hurting Hindu feelings. He also criticised Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan for his inconsistent views on faith-related matters. Mr. Srinivasa Rao pointed out that instead of apologising, Mr. Naidu made fresh claims that harmful chemicals used for cleaning bathrooms were part of the ghee preparation. He called this a malicious effort to spoil the Tirumala temple's sanctity. “Pro-government media outlets are putting out edited videos to mislead the public,” he said. According to him, the current TTD administration did not take action to buy good quality ghee. He accused NDA leaders of using diversionary politics and said those who question the government face intimidation and attacks.
