Nineteen students from various colleges across the state started a cycle rally against drugs, ganja, and human trafficking. The rally, called ‘Pedal For Freedom,’ started on Monday from Vijayawada and will end in Visakhapatnam, covering 600 km. Inspector General of Police Ake Ravi Krishna, Collegiate Education Commissioner Narayana Bharat Gupta, EAGLE SP K. Nagesh Kumar, and staff from S.R.R and C.V.R. Degree College flagged off the event by riding cycles for a short distance. The rally is jointly organised by the Commissioner of Collegiate Education and Red Rope NGO. Students will raise public awareness against drugs, ganja, and human trafficking through flash mobs, meetings, and programmes along the way. Mr. Ravi Krishna praised the students, saying, "I appreciate the students for deciding to pedal up to Visakhapatnam, to explain the ill-effects of drugs and ganja." Participants include students from colleges in Anantapur, Tanuku, Vijayawada, and other towns, according to S.R.R and C.V.R. College officials.
