Cuddalore-Puducherry Joint Team Strengthens Border Surveillance Ahead of Elections

Cuddalore and Puducherry officials held a joint meeting on Monday to boost surveillance along their shared border ahead of the State Assembly elections. The meeting was led by Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar and Puducherry Collector A. Kulothungan. Their main focus was to stop illegal activities like transporting freebies, cash, weapons, liquor, and contraband during the elections. Mr. Senthil Kumar said, "Preparatory measures were under way to prevent transportation of freebies, cash, weapons, liquor, and other contraband." Police officials from both sides, including Cuddalore Superintendent of Police S. Jeyakumar and Puducherry Senior Superintendent of Police R. Kalaivanan, were present. The teams also discussed improving joint surveillance and sharing intelligence to ensure free and fair elections.
