A large drug smuggling attempt was stopped on February 14, 2026, near the India-Pakistan border. Officials said the Border Security Force (BSF) and local police found more than 4 kg of heroin worth ₹20 crore in R.S. Pura. The drugs came in two packets. The teams acted after getting a tip about a drone dropping materials from across the border. Police have registered a case and are investigating to find the people behind this smuggling ring. This seizure follows an arrest made on February 13, where police caught two men smuggling heroin by drone in Kathua district. Jatin from Pathankot, Punjab, and Danish Dogra alias Sajan from Jakhbar, Kathua, were arrested. Police said they were in contact with a smuggler in Pakistan using VoIP calls. This crackdown highlights the growing use of drones by smugglers trying to sneak drugs into India.
