Antoine Massey Sentenced 60 Years After Viral Jailbreak Plea to Trump and Kim Kardashian
February 14, 2026
Antoine Massey, 32, was sentenced on Thursday to 60 years in prison for kidnapping and raping his ex-girlfriend. This sentencing happened months after Massey escaped from a New Orleans jail with nine others on May 16, 2025, one of the largest jailbreaks in recent US history. The men forced open a faulty cell door, squeezed through a hole behind a toilet, climbed a barbed-wire fence, and fled under the cover of darkness. They taunted officials with messages, including a misspelled “To Easy.” Massey made viral videos during his time on the run, pleading for help from Donald Trump, rapper Lil Wayne, NBA YoungBoy, and reality TV star Kim Kardashian. In one video, he said, "Please, I’m asking for help," and asked for assistance if caught again. Massey was captured in late June about 3km from the jail. The last escapee was caught in Atlanta in October. Earlier in November, Massey faced trial for charges dating back to November 2024, including second-degree rape, kidnapping, domestic abuse, and violating a protective order. He was found guilty by a jury. Prosecutors said Massey’s victim escaped and got help to call the police, which led to his arrest. Judge Alan Black said, "This … was brutal and extreme violence," before sentencing Massey without any chance of parole. Massey denies any crimes related to the jail break and claims in his videos that he had been “let out.” He also faces more charges in other unrelated cases.
