A tragic incident took place on Saturday, February 14, when Lakshmeer, a three-year-old boy, drowned in an artificial pool at a photo studio in Giddenahalli, under Madanayakanahalli police limits. Lakshmeer is the son of Swathi and Charan Raj, residents of JP Nagar. Swathi had gone to the studio for her friend's maternity photoshoot. During the shoot, the toddler was playing nearby and reportedly fell into a small water pool. Swathi realized that Lakshmeer was missing a few minutes later. After searching, they found him in the pool and rushed him to the hospital. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. The body was sent to Nelamangala Government Hospital for post-mortem. The police said the autopsy will be done after the child's father, Charan Raj, returns from abroad, expected on Monday. Madanayakanahalli police inspected the site and registered a case. The investigation is ongoing.
