Siva Temples in Tirupati See Huge Devotee Turnout on Mahasivaratri

Several important Siva temples near Tirupati attracted many devotees on Mahasivaratri Sunday. The Swarnamukhi river area has many temples along its banks. The well-known Srikalahasteeswara temple in Srikalahasti town was busy with visitors. Other temples like Parsareshwara Swamy in Yogimallavaram, Parasurameswara in Gudimallam, Agastheswara in Mukkoti, and Valmikeswara in Durgasamudram also saw large gatherings. M Sri Kapileswara temple in Kapila Theertham and Jeevalingeswara temple in Jeevakona were crowded too. The Siddheswara temple deep inside the Talakona forest attracted devotees from western parts of the district. Many pilgrims came from neighboring Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to Srikalahasti. Local officials including MLA Bojjala Venkata Sudheer Reddy, trust board chairman Kotte Sai Prasad, and executive officer T. Bapi Reddy joined the events.
