Hong Kong Souvenir Shop Removes MTR-Style Wall Signs Over IP Concerns

A souvenir shop in Hong Kong removed lettering from a popular wall that looked almost identical to signs found in MTR rail stations. The Causeway Bay store's wall had become a hotspot for photos. The MTR Corporation did not confirm if they asked for the removal. A spokesman said, "The company attaches great importance to the protection of intellectual property, which is safeguarded under the law of Hong Kong, and we shall act accordingly in the event of suspected infringement." The viral wall was located next to the Hong Kong Souvenir shop on Kai Chiu Road. It had attracted many visitors before the letters were taken down.
