At around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, a mini school bus carrying 23 children lost control and fell into a canal at Mottakkavu, Poovathur, in Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Local residents quickly stepped in to rescue the children. Luckily, none of the children were hurt. They were taken to CSI Medical College, Karakonam, for first aid, sources confirmed. The bus was on its way to a school in Poovathur when the incident occurred.
