Two drug peddlers were caught by Kollur police and Serilingampally Special Operations Team (SOT) in a joint action. They seized 101.711 kilograms of ganja, worth ₹25.72 lakh. The arrested men are Baswa Jaganatham, 37, a farmer from Vijayanagaram district, and Pallapu Laxminarayana, 52, from Puttaparthi district, both in Andhra Pradesh. Police also found four mobile phones with them. A third accused, Raju from Chitrakonda, Odisha, is still on the run. He is believed to be the main supplier. Investigations show the peddlers were selling ganja to addicted construction labourers. The supplier delivered the drugs about 10 days ago. The peddlers moved the ganja to Tellapur village near labour camps to sell at construction sites. Police arrested the duo before they could distribute the drugs. Authorities ask the public to report drug trafficking by calling Dial 100, the Cyberabad NDPS Enforcement Cell, or the official WhatsApp helpline. They promise informants’ identities will stay secret. Further investigation is ongoing.
