Archana Puran Singh, the beloved actress shining on The Great Indian Kapil Show, recently gave fans a heartfelt peek inside her personal life. She opened up about some tough times in her marriage with husband Parmeet Sethi. The couple had many ego battles and often misunderstood each other, leading to trouble in their relationship. Archana called this phase "very emotional" and explained what helped her pull through. She traveled to Bangalore for a spiritual camp, where she found a life-changing technique called Sudarshan Kriya, taught by the Art of Living, inspired by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. “Nobody calls us perfect, but everyone thinks we are a perfect couple. What is a perfect couple? A perfect couple is one that has overcome the challenges of life,” Archana said honestly. She added, “We faced a lot of challenges in our marriage… that was when Sri Sri Ravi Shankar helped us.” A friend’s wife, who practiced Art of Living in Bengaluru, inspired Archana to join the program. After trying Sudarshan Kriya, she felt a magical change within herself. She then convinced Parmeet to join, telling him, “This was not just a gift for our bond but also the best gift he could offer himself.” Soon, they realized, “We were soulmates and loved each other so much.” Archana also opened up about her early days in Mumbai, chasing her dreams of acting. “When I came to Mumbai to learn acting, I got a serial where I was supposed to not just act but also do comedy. There was a scene where I was expected to be funny, and I started making faces. The director stopped me and said that making faces is not comedy. He told me to watch others and learn what real comedy is. I watched my work, analysed it, and learnt from it.” She revealed that behind her laughter lies tough struggles. “Everyone thinks I’m always laughing, but they don’t know what I’ve been through. When I first came to Mumbai, I didn’t know how to dress. I was educated, but I didn’t know style. When I saw how life in Mumbai looked, I went back to Dehradun and told my dad that I wanted to become an actress. My father then sent me with his friend and his daughter to Mumbai with one suitcase. It was a suitcase full of dreams. But that family friend was returning to Dehradun in just one week.” Archana Puran Singh’s story is one of grit, love, and spiritual magic that saved her marriage and created a bond stronger than ever.
