In a gripping drama from Delhi, the Patiala House Court on Sunday sent 62-year-old godman Parthasarathy, also known as Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, into five days of police custody. Arrested from a hotel in Agra, he faces serious charges that have shaken a private management institute in Vasant Kunj. Parthasarathy, the former chairman of this college, is accused of turning the women’s hostel into a ‘zone of fear’ where female PGDM students under the EWS scholarship were molested. The Times of India reports that he kept a private room inside the 75-bed hostel and even had access to CCTV cameras on his phone. This meant he could watch the girls anytime he wanted! Investigators found that he tampered with the institute’s DVR system, deleting key footage to hide his wrongdoings. Supposedly, cameras installed in hallways and near washrooms, claimed to be for safety, were actually used to scare the students. The FIR reveals that Parthasarathy often threatened the students by saying they could be suspended or even kicked out of the college, making it hard for parents to step in. Former students bravely shared stories—one said she was forced to change her name, while others were made to wait for hours in his cabin with fake promises of better marks, job placements, and trips. But the murkiness didn't stop there. The inquiry uncovered financial scams too. Parthasarathy reportedly leased college property to private companies and used the cash to buy flashy luxury cars, including a BMW that police have now seized. Victims also told how he would force female students to ride in his cars, adding to the fear that gripped the hostel. The rapid police action and court custody shine a light on this dark saga, as the investigation dives deeper into Parthasarathy’s disturbing empire of control, fear, and fraud.
