The last date to file nominations for the first phase of Telangana Gram Panchayat Elections 2025 is today, November 29. The nomination process started on November 27 at 10:30 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. today. By the end of Friday, election officials had received 8,198 nominations for 4,236 Sarpanch posts and 11,502 nominations for 37,440 Ward Member posts. District Election Authorities have asked Returning Officers and their teams to prepare for a last-minute rush. Mahbubnagar Collector Viziendira Boyi told election staff to be ready with all necessary documents and help desks. He emphasized the importance of giving correct information to candidates. Wanaparthy District Collector Adarsh Surabhi advised people, "not to wait till the last minute and reach the Returning Officer’s office early to complete the process." Officials expect a high turnout of nominations before the 5 p.m. deadline today.
