Thousands Flock to Sri Kanaka Durga Temple at Indrakeeladri for Special Ayyappa and Bhavani Rituals
November 30, 2025
Indrakeeladri saw a huge crowd of Ayyappa and Bhavani devotees on Sunday. They came from across the two Telugu states to visit the Sri Kanaka Durga temple. Temple officials said the flow of visitors started early morning.
To handle the large crowd, all vehicles were stopped from the Ghat Road Om Turn. One Town police managed parking from Kummaripalem Centre to the toll gate. Special battery-operated vehicles were provided free to help elderly, differently-abled people, and mothers with children.
The temple set up 500 darshan queue lines. This helped control the crowd and gave smooth access to the temple darshan. Extra routes were made near the lift pathway by Maha Mandapam to avoid jams. Security staff checked bags and asked visitors to use the cloakroom to keep the area safe.
Many devotees took part in special ‘Arjitha Sevas’ like ‘Surya Upasana’, ‘Chandi Homam’, and ‘Laksha Kumkuma Archana’. The temple also handed out free ‘prasadam’ and ‘annaprasadam’ to everyone.
Temple authorities announced that online booking is now available for darshan, Arjitha Sevas, prasadam, and accommodation. Bookings can be made on their official website www.kanakadurgamma.org and through WhatsApp. Those who book online will get special queue priority for a smooth visit.
Executive officer V.K. Seena Naik said, “The temple management was committed to the comfort and safety of all devotees.” He urged devotees to use the online services to avoid long waits. He also invited everyone to join the upcoming ‘Indrakeeladri Giri Pradakshina’ on December 4 at 5:55 a.m.
