Two Die as Car Hits Parked Lorry Near Ambur on NH 48

Two people died when their car hit a parked goods-laden lorry at Vinnamangalam village near Ambur, Tirupattur, on the Chennai - Bengaluru Highway (NH 48). The victims were A. Divyaman, 50, a software engineer from Coimbatore, and his 72-year-old mother-in-law, Rosli. They were on their way to Vellore for medical treatment. Lovely, Divyaman's wife, was driving the car but lost control and crashed into the stationary lorry. Divyaman and Rosli died on the spot, while Lovely was unharmed. Passersby helped her immediately, and the Ambur Taluk police arrived at the scene. The bodies were taken to Government Medical College Hospital in Vellore. A case has been registered, and a probe is ongoing.
