Qatar is gearing up for its National Day with a lively ten-day celebration from December 10 to 20 at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal. This 150,000 square meter venue will bring history, culture, and community together in one place. The Ministry of Culture has themed the event "With You it Rises, From You it Awaits," focusing on Qatar's values, identity, and history. Many government bodies and cultural groups will participate, including the Ministries of Defence, Interior, and Communications, the National Cyber Security Agency, and the Qatar Islamic Bank. Two main heritage zones, Al Muqtir and Al Izbah, will recreate desert life with traditional houses, poetry, and games teaching local dialects and skills. Children can learn camel riding and explore crafts like weaving and dairy production. Maritime heritage will shine at the Al Bidda event, showcasing traditional cafes, fishing activities, and sea-related games. The celebrations also offer outdoor sports and daily cultural shows for families, including poetry and patriotic events on the main stage. Dr Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Ali, supervising the events, said, "The motto reflects a commitment to investing in people and nurturing their talents." He described Darb Al Saai as a place where "the past meets present awareness and future ambition." The National Day will also feature a key parade along Doha Corniche, involving military and state institutions. Visitors to Darb Al Saai can explore the Qatari House, Art Gallery, Sana Qatar, and competition spaces from 3 pm to 11 pm daily. The site blends traditional architecture with modern comfort, making it a warm welcome for all. Additionally, the Ardha event in Lusail will celebrate unity, loyalty, and heritage, adding to the festive spirit. Together, these events promise a grand celebration of Qatar’s pride and progress.
