The Indian Medical Association’s College of General Practitioners will hold the national conference “GPCON-2025” on December 6 and 7 in Vizianagaram. The conference will focus on the role of artificial intelligence in general practice and challenges facing the medical community. A workshop on basic life support will take place on December 5 at the same venue. College Dean V.S. Prasad, conference committee chairman M. Venkateswara Rao, and IMA State past president J.C. Naidu met on Wednesday to prepare for more than 800 expected delegates. Dr. Prasad told the media, "IMA National president Dr. Dilip Bhanushali and other medical experts will discuss the role of general practitioners against the backdrop of spread of several new diseases such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension, obesity and others found among youth due to the change in lifestyle." Also present were IMA-Vizianagaram District president V. Ashok, secretary Lanka Srinivas, conference secretary A. Madhukar, and committee members Bhavani Shankar, Mahendra Giri, and Varma.
