Mahaparinirvan Diwas was observed on Saturday to mark the death anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar in Yadgir and Raichur. MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur garlanded Ambedkar’s statue in Yadgir. He said, "Dr. Ambedkar was a great lawyer, economist, social reformer, freedom fighter, and architect of the Indian Constitution under which every citizen of this country got equal rights." Mr. Tunnur added, "People are living a respectful life with the facilities irrespective of the caste and religion." Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar also highlighted Ambedkar's role, saying he "drafted a powerful Constitution for the citizens after Independence." In Raichur, MLA Basanagouda Daddal garlanded Ambedkar's statue as well. Deputy Commissioner Nitish K, Superintendent of Police Puttamadaiah, and other officials were present at the event.
