72 Aadhaar Kits Sanctioned for Tribal Child Enrolment in Rampachodavaram
December 6, 2025
On December 6, 2025, ITDA-Rampachodavaram Project Officer B. Smaran Raj announced the release of 72 Aadhaar kits for enrolling children at Rampachodavaram agency in Alluri Sitarama Raju district. He opened a new Aadhaar enrolment centre on the ITDA campus.
Mr. Smaran Raj said, "Aadhaar enrolment, changes in details, and change of district name will be done for children above five years. Mobile Aadhaar services will also be offered in the interior pockets of the agency."
Many children in Rampachodavaram are yet to get Aadhaar due to challenges like the lack of Date of Birth certificates. This is especially due to non-institutional deliveries common among the Konda Reddi tribe, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group in Andhra Pradesh.
The ongoing drive also allows updating or changing the child's name. The Tribal Welfare Ministry’s Project Monitoring Unit will oversee the enrolment process to ensure smooth implementation.
