Kalyana Karnataka Honors Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas

The 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was observed across Kalyana Karnataka with solemn ceremonies on Saturday. District officials, leaders, and citizens paid floral tributes to the chief architect of India's Constitution. In Kalaburagi, top officials including Regional Commissioner Zaheera Naseem and IT Minister Priyank Kharge led the homage at Jagat Circle. Bidar saw Forest Minister Eshwar B. Khandre and Municipal Minister Rahim Khan remembering Ambedkar’s fight for social justice. Koppal officials honored him at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, followed by public tributes at Ambigar Chowdaiah Park. In Vijayanagara, Deputy Commissioner Kavita S. Mannikeri called Ambedkar’s vision “a guiding light” for an equitable India during the ceremony in Hosapete. Ballari commemorated at Ambedkar Bhavan with MLA Raghavendra Hitnal among participants. Speakers highlighted Ambedkar as a symbol of dignity, courage, and democracy. They urged citizens, especially youth, to study the Constitution and continue his unfinished mission against discrimination and inequality. The day ended with calls to uphold his ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity in all walks of life.
