Guntur Government General Hospital (GGH) Vice-Principal and Head of Pathology and Blood Bank, B. Sridhar, said blood donation is one of the most generous gifts. He spoke at a blood donation camp held at VIT-AP University campus. The event was part of the 87th birthday celebrations of VIT Group founder and Chancellor G. Viswanathan. Dr. Sridhar expressed joy at the large number of students taking part in this noble cause. VIT-AP University in-charge Vice-Chancellor P. Arulmozhivarman called blood donation a "life-saving act, simple yet powerful way to make a direct impact." He said, "On the special occasion of Mr. Viswanathan’s birthday, we are proud to continue his legacy of service to society." Around 500 students, staff, and faculty joined the camp. The blood collected will help patients needing surgery, trauma care, and other treatments at GGH. Other participants included Registrar M. Jagadish Chandra, HDFC Bank deputy vice-president Indraganti Sarma, and VIT-AP University deputy director of student welfare Khadeer Pasha.
