Mandeep Singh Bharma did not miss his every Sunday tradition of rallying for Aarey forest due to the timing clash of his wedding day. The activist couple promoted the “Save Aarey Forest” campaign in their wedding, holding green signs on the stage, along with activist friends. Among those, was the recently detained Tabrez Sayyed; also involved in the Aarey campaign. The activists, beside commoners, gather on Sundays in the Birsa Munda Chowk at Aarey to engage govt to save the Aarey forest.
