Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Congress of treating tribals as a mere vote-bank and asserted that the BJP has continuously worked for their welfare. While addressing a rally in Jhabua district, Modi alleged that Congress used malnourished kids to decorate photographs of its leaders and stated that a party with such a mindset can never do any good for the tribal community and the poor. He also criticized Congress leaders for not putting up a fight against the BJP in Madhya Pradesh. Modi promised to provide free education to girls from KG to PG levels and open medical colleges in tribal blocks of Madhya Pradesh.
