Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and JDS state president HD Kumaraswamy lashed out at each other, with Kumaraswamy accusing the CM and his son of corruption in the transfer of officials. Not satisfied with the CM’s explanation about his son’s conversation, Kumaraswamy raises more questions. In response, the CM offers to retire from politics if corruption charges are proven. The leaders, who were once part of the same party, engage in a heated exchange of allegations.

Trouble began for the ruling Congress and the CM after a video clip surfaced showing his son involved in a conversation with an official in the CM’s office. Kumaraswamy quickly seized the opportunity to allege corruption in the transfer of officials. The CM attempts to put the controversy to rest, saying he doesn’t need to respond to Kumaraswamy’s social media posts. Kumaraswamy questions Siddaramaiah’s explanation about the clip, claiming it related to CSR funds. He also highlights officials in the CM’s office and their assigned responsibilities.

The JDS leader asks the CM to address the issue raised in the video clip and accuses him of giving official responsibilities to his son. Kumaraswamy criticizes the CM for trying to transfer power to his son through the backdoor. The exchange escalates, with Kumaraswamy questioning the legality of Yathindra’s role in Varuna constituency, and Siddaramaiah retaliating by bringing up money transactions during Kumaraswamy’s tenure.

This bitter exchange of allegations and counter-allegations reflects the deteriorating relationship between the two leaders. Both leaders were once part of the JDS but had a falling out in 2005. The video clip controversy has added fuel to the fire, resulting in a heated political battle between the two parties.
