The nine-day Brahmotsavams at the TTD-run Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple ended on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The concluding ritual was 'Trisula Snanam,' a holy bath of the trident idol with milk, holy water, and allied products. This was done following the Shaiva Agama, the temple worship doctrine. Other important rituals like 'Poornahuthi' and 'Kalasabhishekam' were conducted inside the sanctum sanctorum to honor the presiding deity (Moolavarlu). Earlier, the Nataraja deity was taken in a grand procession on the 'Surya Prabha Vahanam'. The procession moved up to Anna Rao Circle in the city and then returned to the temple. In the evening, the festival concluded with 'Dhwajavarohanam,' where the sacred flag atop the temple was brought down. Late in the evening, another ritual named 'Ravanasura Vahanam' was performed. The festival celebrations were grand and deeply spiritual, marking the end of the yearly Brahmotsavams.
