Two people died and two were seriously injured when a speeding lorry crashed into a moped and a motorcycle on Nagunur-Chamanpalli road in Karimnagar rural mandal late Sunday evening. The accident happened around 7.30 p.m. The lorry first hit a moped ridden by 55-year-old Kommidi Devender Reddy and his wife Hyma. Reddy died on the spot, and his wife was injured. He was from Sambaiahpalli village in Sultanabad mandal. Later, the same lorry struck a motorcycle ridden by Dudem Raghuram of Chamanpalli village. Raghuram also died instantly. The pillion rider was injured and taken to a nearby hospital. Karimnagar rural police registered a case and started investigating the incident.
