Wednesday witnessed an inter-ministerial meeting of the Centre and states to rectify the issue of stubble-burning in the nation, specifically in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Union ministers emphasized on the usage of the Pusa decomposer as a natural stubble remover, usage of hefty funding by state govts to counter the air pollution caused by it and the usage of already distributed 2.07-Lakh machinery by the states. Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav , Parshottam Rupala, and Narendra Singh Tomar attended the meeting.
